Whistleblower Policy – Green Leaf Alliance Foundation
Purpose
Green Leaf Alliance Foundation encourages a culture of transparency and integrity. This Whistleblower Policy provides a mechanism for employees, volunteers, and partners to report suspected misconduct, illegal activities, or unethical behavior without fear of retaliation.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees, volunteers, contractors, grantees, and partners.
1. Protected Disclosures
Whistleblowers may report:
- Fraud, theft, or financial misconduct.
- Violations of law, regulations, or internal policies.
- Mismanagement, abuse of authority, or endangerment of public interest.
2. Reporting Procedure
- Reports may be submitted confidentially via email: whistleblower@greenleafalliance.org
- A dedicated officer or committee will acknowledge receipt and investigate the matter.
- Anonymous reports are accepted, though providing contact information may aid follow-up.
3. Investigation
- All reports will be handled promptly, fairly, and confidentially.
- Investigations may involve interviews, document review, and coordination with legal counsel or auditors.
4. Protection from Retaliation
- Retaliation against anyone making a good faith report is strictly prohibited.
- Anyone found retaliating may face disciplinary action, including termination.
5. Confidentiality
- Identity of whistleblowers and report details will be kept confidential to the maximum extent possible.
- Information will only be shared on a need-to-know basis.
6. Reporting Misuse of the Policy
- Knowingly false or malicious reports are considered a serious violation and may result in disciplinary action.
7. Oversight
The Board of Directors oversees the implementation of this policy and ensures periodic reviews for effectiveness.
